Antique 1920s Thorens single claw lighter -Swiss made,British pat No.137.508

This rare 1920's Thorens lighter is in great condition.

Made in the 1920's in Switzerland, it has obviously been well looked after - and not over used.
Unscrew the button, press it and the still-strong spring flicks up the lid, claws back the flint wheel and lights up.
All it needs is some lighter fuel. The mechanism is as good as the day it was made, and the lid fits perfectly.
It's pretty, funky and, of course, is THE great first automatic lighter.
And, at nearly 100 years old, its not only a great ligher, but a great talking point, with a history we can only imagine.
