Antique 19th Century English Lustreware Mug Romantic Pastoral Scenes (c.18201850)

A beautiful early English lustreware mug featuring charming transfer scenes of courting couples in countryside settings. Each panel is richly coloured in pinks, greens, and yellows, bordered with a cobalt blue band and a fine red line around the base. The handle has a lovely period shape with a soft ivory glaze typical of early Staffordshire pieces.

Details:

  • Origin: England (likely Staffordshire or Sunderland)

  • Period: Circa 18201850

  • Material: Earthenware with hand-painted overglaze enamel

  • Decoration: Romantic transfer scenes with cobalt and red highlights

  • Height: approx. 14 x 11 x 10cm

  • Condition: Very good for age light age-related wear, a couple very fine lines inside only
