DESCRIPTION:

An early 20th century heavy faceted cut-glass crystal ink well, chrome plated
collar and hinged lid, cover mounted with a cold-painted cast bronze eagle head.

MARKS:

No maker's marks. Possibly from the Vienna foundry of Franz Xavier Bergman (1861-1936).

CONDITION:

Several pock marks and some tarnishing to chromed surfaces, with
a few small chips to crystal body and removable inner glass inkwell.

DIMENSIONS:

Approximately 8.5cm diameter X 13cm height.

NETT WEIGHT:

Approximately 900 grams.
