Antique Beau Brummel liquid soap dispenser - c1910. This rare early 20th century wall-mount lavatory room tilting liquid soap dispenser was designed and patented in 1902 by McDougall Bros. Manchester. The uniquely-shaped pressed clear glass orb with embossed lettering has nickel-plated bent tubular arms supporting the pivoting vessel, which swings on a vertical plane onto the wall bracket. The protruding "measuring" nozzle is original and intact. An elongated tab found along the edge of the orb is inscribed "Wet hands then tilt here, Patents May 27.02, Apl 28.03, Dec 13.04". the nickel-plated flush mount wall bracket contains pre-drilled holes for mounting purposes. The item is in great working condition - some wear to the silver plating as can be expected. It also needs a good clean. Would be a lovely antique decor item in your bathroom.
