Antique brass and copper trinket box with stunning embossed designs

This rare antique Erhard & Sohne brass & copper box was produced in Germany before 1904.  Exquisite Jugendstil Art Nouveau embossed/repoussé design.  Size: 12 x 9 x 6 cm.  Value: R2800
Stunning patina and intricate brass inlay featuring typical motifs of the Art Nouveau/Jugendstil movement.
The lid depicts a royal hunting party, adding an aristocratic flair to the design.
Long sides on the front and back feature intricate depictions of two ladies in waiting and falconry, adding to the narrative richness.
Short sides depict a man and woman courting, adding a touch of romance and intrigue to the imagery.
Hinged lid ensures easy access and secure closure.  Interior lined with wood, preserving its integrity and functionality.  
Erhard & Söhne produced high-quality brass inlay items in the late 1800s and early 1900s, typical of the German Art Nouveau style.
These repoussé boxes were sold from 1896 by GG Leykauf Nurnberg.  Stamped underneath with the iconic Erhard Lion logo, indicating its authenticity and origin.

Condition is good, with expected signs of wear, such as minor scratches, discoloration and patina, but no visible dents or damage.
