Match Safe Pig Holding Bag of Money Go to Bed

Genuine Antique Figural Vesta Case Pig Holding Bag of Money This is a chance to purchase this genuine antique brass vesta case or match safe it is also a Go. To BedFigural modelled as a pig holding a bag of money marked 1.000.000 know as the"Little Wadhurst Farm" Pig read below very interesting He has a hole in the end of his nose where a match would have been inserted and then used as a Go-To-Bed.Something interesting to read regarding this little pig but I think there are more than five pigs.It stands 4.5 cms tall approx Readers of the History Society website will be aware of the search for Little Wadhurst Farm and the vesta match containers in the shape of a pig. At least five pigs have now been 'located' - one in California, one in Shreveport Louisiana, one in Hampshire, one in Cumbria and one sold in Taunton last year.

Dhokra craft is the earliest method of non-ferrous metal casting known to humankind. The word dhokra literally means oldest and comes from the name of a nomadic group that specialized in this art form. Adivasi (literally original dwellers) communities in the Indian states of Orissa, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal carry on the traditional Dhokra craft methods, using the lost wax technique. This process involves twelve stages of preparation, and threads made of beeswax form the intricate designs. The wax melts when the hot metal is poured inside the clay mold, and the metal sculpture is formed. Consequently, one mold produces just one item.

The artisans traditionally made religious deities as well as vessels and instruments used in their daily life. Today, they make a wide variety of products, including statues, jewelry, and bowls, to name a few.
