Antique Brass  Lidded Brass Insulated Hot Water Jug by WASBenson

This is a great find. A delightful piece.

It was used as a hot water vessel, because of its size I would assume it was used for extra hot water for tea.  As the patent was registered in 1989, this one then dates between 1890 to early 1900 ( for more information on the Patent anda full descr on of the item see below).

Solid, and beautifully made, good condition for its age it has a brass outer, with handle and hinged lid. The enamel inner insulation is still intact, even the seal between the enamel and the brass is still there.
