ANTIQUE BRASS PYRENE FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Beautiful unrestored old piece from approximately 1920's - with mounting bracket

Great addition to a collection or as decor for any antique themed room!

Not often seen with the original mounting bracket and with its original contents, this old beauty will certainly add character to wherever it is displayed!

Made by the Pyrene Company in England and sold by their SA representatives, H Alers Hankey Ltd, in South Africa.

They were mostly used for the automotive industry, but as far as we could determine, were also used in small factories, shops and private households.

The piece is in great condition and has only a few very minor dents. It has not been polished or cleaned.

The steel mounting bracket is complete and in good condition. Some paint and surface rust is present, so if restoration is the idea, it might have to be stripped and repainted.

Estimated to be manufactured during the 1920's, but could have been as early as around 1910.
