Antique brass ships cargo inclinometer - c1900. This old nautical item would have been mounted up in the wheelhouse or bridge on the ” dead center” line of the ship to ensure that the ship was well balanced during loading. It works with a pendulum, which if the balance was wrong, would point up to 30¿ port or starboard the error variance. It measures 23cm x 21cm. A real nostalgic look back to when ships instrument were still very crude.  The inclinometer is in great condition. A great buy for the collector of vintage maritime items.
