Antique penstick scraper made of solid bronze in the shape of a pig.A large example of one of these charming desk - top nib wipes meant to wipe the excess ink from a traditional dip pen.
The cast brass pig is filled with firm natural bristle,a bit worn in places, perfect for absorbing the ink.
A quality solid piece in excellent condition, Dates to ca. 1880
