Antique BULPITT SONS Hanging SHIP LANTERN HEATER 1941

A wonderful old Rare LANTERN from BULPITT & SONS, in BIRMINGHAM, and dated 1941.I believe it could be a maritime ships lantern and may have doubled for a heater as well. The hood is painted black. It has a loop for hanging. There is a heavy hinge on one side of the hood & a locking latch on the other, working and very sturdy. It has the original wick, but no kerosene or oil. The overall height is 14" and it is 10" across at the widest part of the hood & the unpackaged weight is 8 pounds. This lantern has some normal dents and scratches, but overall in great shape for it's age & I have taken many pictures from all angles, which show any faults etc. All parts move , twist and open with ease. I think the glass is missing. the white upper part of hood , is enamel.
