An exquisite and rare find in such superb condition, this antique Victorian period necklace (circa 1880 from other examples seen) features a central antique rose cut diamond estimated at 1.25ct carat weight, with eight half pearls (possibly natural due to time period, with lovely lustre) and interspersed by faceted Russian demantoid garnets in pavé setting with stunning rich green colour as depicted.

See photos for details, the chain seems to be original to the piece, marked "15CT". The pendant has been scanned as 15ct gold accordingly.
Russian demantoid garnets rose to fame and was extremely sought-after after their discovery in the second half of the 19th Century in Russia, used in high-end fine jewellery with their vibrant green colour symbolising power and prosperity.
