The BINOCULARS are 14.50cm WIDE ( in open position ) and 10cm LONG from front to back lens..... The engraving on the BINOCULARS is in beautiful Victorian style and pre-dates the Carl Zeiss logo...which was introduced during 1902.....

It reads " Carl Zeiss Jena D.R.P.... Feldstecher Vergr = 8 " On the front is engraved " W Watson & Sons, 313 High Holbron. London.."

Each eye piece is adjustable.. Considering their age both item and carry case, (inside velvet lined) are in good condition ..The small hallmarked silver shield,

(Birmingham 1900) engraved "From Humewood Friends 1901" ...Apart from minimum rubbing wear, there is no damage or repair to item or case..
