Antique cast iron Salter's Improved Family Scale No. 50. This old scale dates to around 1900. It is manufactured in cast iron with a brass face, and can weigh to 14lb by 1oz. The brass face is marked "Salter's Improved Family Scale No. 50, Silverster's Patent, To Weigh 14lb by 1oz". The scale is shabby green. It is in good working order, but has no pan. Lovely item for your vintage kitchen.
