This is a hand crafted Chinese Wooden Grain Basket used by Farmers in Shanxi China to harvest rice and transport over long distances. Today these baskets are used decoratively to store towels in a bathroom, magazines, wood at a fireplace etc. The basket has beautiful worn patina which can be expected with use and age C1900.
