GOOD QUALITY ANTIQUE CLOCKS USED THE FUSEE MECHANISM TO PREVENT THE CLOCK FROM RUNNING SLOWER AS THE SPRING UNWOUND DELIVERING PROGRESSIVELY LESS TORQUE.
