Antique 'Coalport Salopian' (Belfort) Cabinet Plate(1870-1880)
This very early Coalport blue & white cabinet plate is beautifully decorated with flowers, birds and butterflies, in a rich blue colour against a white background known as the early 'Belfort' pattern with an added attractive scene in the centre. The plate has a scalloped edge and has the seldom seen 'Coalport Salopian' brown back stamp used between 1870 to 1880. It measures 24,2cm in diameter and is in amazing condition for its age.
