Antique Colonial Refrigerator/icebox/cooler "The Keyser Manufacturing co" oak excellent piece

This is a lovely piece and also still functional as a cooler. 

This Antique ice box or cooler is constructed from solid oak and was the refrigerator of the late 1800s and early 1900's.

The top opens to reveal a metal lined compartment where large blocks of ice would be placed to cool the unit. The front door has a strong latch and opens to reveal the metal lined refrigerator compartment. it also still has the original 4 caster wheels

The lower front panel lifts up and is where a drip tray would have been inserted but the drip tray is no longer present. 

As you can see this fabulous piece of kitchen appliance history has been well loved and used over the years and has developed a wonderful aged patina. There is wear, dings and im Perfections as would be expected with a piece that is over 125 years old. There is also expected minor corrosion to the metal interior. All of this is shown in the pictures and only adds to its character and charm.

Over all it is in solid, sturdy Condition with minor age appropriate flaws.
