Antique Combined Silver Vesta Case with Hidden Photo Frame
This charming, rare, Victorian, sterling silver vesta case with a concealed photo frame was made in Chester, England in 1901 by silversmiths 'E.J. Trevitt & Sons' (T & S). It has a lovely rectangular cushion shape with a sprung hinged lid, which when opened, releases the front hinged & sprung side panel, revealing a small oval photo frame (pull-out with glass). It's beautifully decorated and engraved with a leaf motif with a monogramed cartouche on the front and is fitted with a suspension loop on the lid. This scarce piece is in great condition with its original gilt interior and measures 3,6cm x 5cm (6cm with loop), and weighs 31,2g.
