Antique copper pocket watch fob chain with Joan the Wad lucky charm. I would estimate that this old fob chain dates to the early 1900s. It has a chain bar on at the top, and 2 lobster clasps at the bottom and a name tag on the shorter strand. It measures 35cm in total length and weighs 25g. The boxed Joan the Wad lucky is c1930. Joan the Wad is a mythological character in Cornish folklore, namely Queen of the Pixies bringing you good luck. They were often worn on fob chains to bring the wearer good luck. It is made from brass, and is in good condition. The fob chain and Joan the Wad charm are in good condition. Great buy for the collector.
