Antique copper rise and fall hanging lamp counterbalance pulley weight

Antique copper rise & fall hanging lamp counterbalance pulley weight. I would date this old counterbalance weight to the late 1800s. It is manufactured from copper with a porcelain ceiling cord wheel, and it is filled with lead balls for weight. These were traditionally used on French oil lamps, which could be pulled up or down depending on use, being particularly useful over a dining room table so that the light can be descended or lifted when required. The counterbalance weight is complete with a ceiling cord wheel. It is full of lead balls, and is in good condition (I have not cleaned it). Would work beautifully with an antique dining room ceiling light. Great buy.
