Crocodile skin case with silver plated surround and catch. There are sleeves inside and the leather concertina's out, so cigars could probably have fitted in the sleeves.
The catch works fine - there is no key.
There is a silver mark on the catch, but I don't know what it means.
On one of the inner sleeves is printed in silver: V.A. Richards, Devonshire Regt, March 9 1887.
The case is in very good condition for it's age. The crocodile skin is very good. The leather inner sleeves have come a bit loose from the sides, and there is a bit of wear to the silver plate on the catch.
