Antique CUNARD LINES FOLDER - given To Comrades Overseas - 1919 - contains 3 PC of ships.  WWI  A rare find!

This envelope was given to soldiers in the Marines after the end of WWI. It celebrates their courage and dedication.

It contains 3 valuable postcards of ships that took part in the war , all in great condition and painted by the renowned R. Shoesmith.

1. RMS SAXONIA - leaving London 1918 - nicknamed "The ship beautiful" for it's graceful design. It served in both WWI and WWII as a troop transporter and a hospital ship.

2 RMS Royal George in Quebec 1918 This was a Canadian troop ship

3 RMS Aquitania at Liverpool 1918

The folder that these postcards are in shows signs of wear and tear - a testament to the fact that it was opened often to view the cards. It has a tear on the reverse side (see images) but otherwise very good for it's age!

Thank you for taking the time to view this item.

The postcards are unused and are standard size.
