ANTIQUE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN - DECOMMISSIONED
Estimated pre-1900 - double trigger system
The shotgun is the double barrel, double trigger type of unknown manufacture and is estimated to be pre-1900. We are not experts though, so any knowledgeable input will be appreciated.
The gun has been deactivated. Firing pins have been removed and the holes they go through welded shut. The barrels have also been drilled and there are several welding marks in other places as well.
The gun appears to have been the victim of many a home repair job and has certainly seen its fair share of use.
The firing mechanisms still work, The hammers can be pulled back and released by pulling the triggers. The barrels can also be opened with the lever situated between the hammers.
Even in its present condition, the shotgun will make a nice display piece, but hopefully it will find an owner willing to do some restoration.
There are no markings other than those in the last two images. The first is hard to make out, but the second is "LC SMITH".
Please have a good look at all images to verify age and condition and feel free to give your input or ask any questions at all.

Questions welcome!
