A stunning oil on board by British artist Edward Aistrop who was active from 1880 to 1920 and specialized in canine portraiture.  The portrait is of a fox terrier with collar, beautifully framed in an ornate gilt frame and signed by the artist.  The artwork is in good antique condition and the frame shows slight age-related wear.  Framed by  "M. Carson Printseller and Picture Framemaker".  A truly lovely and original antique work of art!
