Antique! England - Mappin & Webb  - c1887 - Ivory Handle  - Carving Knive and Fork Set 

A beautiful antique Victorian Late 19th Century (Circa 1887) silver plated, Ivory handle, Serving Knife and Fork set with beautifully ornate etched/engraved blades.
Princes plate is a higher quality than normal silver plate as the process uses a triple deposit of silver and has an added coating of protection.  The result of this is that these items of cutlery wear more like sterling silver.

MATERIAL: Silver Plate, Bone
HALLMARKS / SIGNATURES: Blades: "Mappin & Webb", "Princes Plate", "RD71552".
SIZE:  Knives - 27.5cm length x 4.4cm width each. Forks - 21cm length x 4.5cm width each.

Please Note: General Age Related Tarnishing / Wear.  Some natural cracks on some handles.
