Lovely Vintage Pair of English Wedgewood Jasperware Mustard Pots in Pale Blue, originally probably part of a cruet set, and could be used for mustard or as a tea-light candle holder.. Josiah Wedgwood was a British Potter and Innovator Born in Staffordshire England in July 1730. He Became The Royal Potter For Queen Charlotte, The Consort Of King George III.
Material: Porcelain, Sterling Silver
Hallmarks (Mount) : '?.W' - Makers Mark (Visible on 1), 'Lion Passant' - Standard Mark (visible on 1), 'Chester Assay Plate' - City Mark (highly sought after, being rare on pre 1890 silver)(visible on 1), 'H' - Date Mark (1908) (Visible on both)
Pottery Marks : 'WEDGEWOOD', 'ENGLAND', 'L' - Wedgewoods Impressed Year Letters (1883)
Please Note : General age related wear / tarnishing. One of the Mounts shows signs of repair, with glue visible around the rim. Ther are some flea-bit / chips around the edge of the base and a fine surface crack on the inside of the one.
