Antique Equal Arm Scale in Ivory Inlaid Wooden Box

On offer this rare and hard to come by antique Equal-Arm-Scale in its original heavy and solid wooden box. The hinged wooden box is beautifully decorated with inlaid ivory on the top of the box, inside, inside lid and front and has added brass detail for maximum effect. All in good condition with no chips or cracks. The clip to open and close the box works 100%. The various pieces of the scale consisting of the 2 bowls on a stand, a cylindrical stand hold, a crook to hold the scale, 7 brass weights (1g, 2g, 5g, 5g, 10g, 10g and 20g (smallest weight 0.5g is missing) and a tweazer all have their spaces in the box for secure storage. Each weight has calibration stamps. When assembled the scale stands 26cm high, the measuring bowls have a diameter of 6cm and the box when closed measures 24.5cm x 15.5cm x 5cm. This item is strikingly beautiful with all the detail in decoration and wonderfully intact (apart from the 1 missing weight).
