Antique French copper milk can

A very special antique copper milk can.  It has its origin in the French countryside, where it was used to transport milk or cream.  Typically made in the early 19th century.  It was surely well used for many years and has a wonderful patina, with many handling dents. The copper stitching/joining around the whole can is an outstanding feature. This is a rare item in South Africa!  The can could hold approximately 5 pints (3 liters), has a height of 30 cm (with the handle) and a diameter of 16 cm.  A great collection item!
