The ormolu has the original backing and cloth insert with the original thick bevelled glass.
The rear markings have "PVMM" inscribed on the windmill hallmark as well as the inscription "Mark Deposee Paris" within the base of the windmill hallmark.
Solid brass back with brass screws.
One family owned.
Wall hanging or standing option for the frame.

The oval shaped glass can accomodate a picture of 16cm at its widest point and with a height of 23cm. 
A heavy ornate classic picture frame very popular during the French Empire and @ early 1900's.
Condition: Very good for a piece of this age. The ormolu has been well cared for.
