• RIbbed border and handle as well as on bottom edge of foot
• Monogram in bottom of basket
• Engraved decoration on foot

• Makers mark somewhat rubbed
• 136 gm
• 17.5 x 11 x 5 cm: Length x width x height (at high ends)
• Height with handle upright is 12.5 cm

• Lion passant and guardant for Sterling silver
• Crowned leopard for London
• Lower case "p" for 1790
• Head of George III - Duty mark
• BM (partially rubbed) for the maker - Benjamin Mountigue
• Full hallmarks on the side of the basket
• Sterling mark on handle

Condition

• Very good all round antique condition
• No dents
• No damage to the piercing
• Pitting to the bowl in the form of pinhead sized dots 
• Hinge of handle intact: stands upright only when balanced
• Makers mark partially rubbed, but almost certainly BM
• Monogram
