An antique Georgian brooch, made in silver with a thin rose gold back and loop, set with an oval faceted amethyst and clear paste stone surround noting a "black dot" painted on the back of each of the paste stones. During the Georgian era, craftsmen often painted a black dot on paste stones to create more of a depth perception in the stone.
In good overall condition, some discoloration of the paste stones noted with age. See photos for details. The piece can be worn as a brooch or pendant.
