Antique German porcelain trio circa 1885 Ref.Oct56


A very pretty  fluted porcelain trio, German in origin dating back to the era 1885, but no makers' mark, apart from the number 108 'B' seen on the base of the cup which is likely to have been a pattern number. This is a 'transfer printed' design of a very attractive floral pattern with a gilded edge on all three items.
 

There is some wear, to be expected considering its age, mainly a little loss of glaze on the plate and the saucer as well as some  gilding loss to all three items. No cracks, no chips, and, all in all, a very decorative and honest set.

 

 

 The cup measures 6cm high with a diameter of 8.5cm. The saucer measures 2.5 cm high with a diameter of 14.5cm, whilst the plate measures 2cm high and 16cm in diameter

This is a genuine antique. Please remember the classification of an 'antique' is that it should be 100 years old, OR MORE. There are many articles being offered as 'antiques' when, clearly, they are not.
