This item is secondhand and in good condition. This is a Scottish Georgian toddy ladle by very fine silversmith Robert Gray & Son. The ladle is Fiddle pattern and is engraved with the initial 'B'. Toddy ladles are uniquely Scottish, used for that 'wee dram' of spirits, but also suitable as sauce ladles. The hallmarks are found to the back of the handle. Robert Gray & Son produced some of the finest British silver of the period. This toddy ladle up for auction measures approximately 170 mm long, the bowl measures 46 mm in diameter and the ladle weighs 38 grams. Please view images as part of description.
