ANTIQUE HORNBY TINPLATE CLOCKWORK TRAIN SET
Working Type 40 Loco, 2 Wagons and Lots of Tracks
Excellent restoration project!

Included in this set is a type 40 loco, two wagons and all the tracks as pictured.
The locomotive is a clockwork (wind up) type, O gauge, with start/stop and forward/reverse levers.
Apart from the winding key and the lever knobs, it is complete. We wound it with a home made key and it runs well, but would likely need some lubrication and tuning.
The wagons are also complete with the wheels and couplers all intact. Cosmetically they all need some work as can be seen in the images.
The tracks appear to be a full set and includes 4 points, a crossing, 4 short and 16 long bends, 4 short and 8 long straights.
The tracks are well rusted and would certainly need restoration. One or two are bent but they can easily be straightened.
Note that we have not tried to clean anything. Everything is as rusty and dusty as it was found!
The exact age of the set is unknown and most websites describe them only as "post war". My estimate is 1950's, but if unsure, please do some research of your own.
Please have a look at the images to verify condition and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Any questions welcome!
