Antique Irish Silver 'George III' Sauce Ladle (1819)
This lovely sterling silver, Irish 'George III' 'Rat-Tail' sauce ladle was made in 1819 in Dublin, Ireland by silversmiths 'John Pittar' (IP) and retailed by 'WEST' (The West's were prominent Dublin silversmiths and retailers). It's in great condition with good clear hallmarks and a pronounced 'rat-tail' on the back of the bowl and has an engraved family crest of an 'arm holding a small branch of leaves.' The ladle measures 15cm in length and 4,9cm across the bowl and weighs 34,2g.
