This is an elegant and rare J&G MEAKIN TEAPOT in the celebrated GAINSBOROUGH SHAPE, part of the original CENTURY RANGE. Dating from the early 20th century (post-1912), it features the PILGRIM PATTERN, a beautiful floral design reminiscent of an Indian Rose.
This piece is a collector's delight, featuring the unique FAN/WAVE-SHAPED FINIAL and a distinctive shortened spout that emphasizes the teapot's ornate silhouette.
BRAND: J&G Meakin, Hanley, England.

PATTERN: Pilgrim (Floral Indian Rose design).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Unique fan/wave finial on the lid; "Twist-lock" safety lid; Gold accents on the handle and lid.
CONDITION: ANTIQUE CONDITION. There are NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. Please note the teapot exhibits HEAVY VINTAGE CRAZING throughout, which is typical for Meakin ironstone of this age. The lid is better preserved and less crazed than the main body.
MARKINGS: Stamped on the base with the J&G Meakin mark and "Century" trade name (See Ref: JG MEAKIN MARK.jpg).
