Description: For sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of British silversmithing history. This vintage ice bucket (or sugar scuttle) was manufactured by the renowned J.H. Potter at the Rockingham Works in Sheffield, England, active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Details:
Maker: J.H. Potter (Sheffield).
Construction: Heavy-duty Nickel Silver (NS) base with Britannia Metal (BM) mounts.
Design: Classic tapered "pail" shape with elegant concentric banding and a sturdy swinging bail handle.
Condition: Excellent vintage structural condition. It currently carries a deep natural patina/tarnish that collectors love, but it will polish up to a brilliant mirror shine if preferred. No major dents or deep scratches.
