Description: JACOB & JOSEPH KOHN "MUNDUS" CHAIR WITH PERFORATED SEAT. Seat looks like rattan, but it is in actual fact the wooden seat that has been perforated. As far as I can establish this chair was made between 1914 and 1922, but there is a "19" punched on the bottom frame, which leads me to believe that it was manufactured in 1919. Condition: Very good used condition. Very little usage related wear and tear evident, still quite sturdy, although screws need to be tightened a little bit. Would also look great if sanded down and re-varnished. Approximate size: 39cm wide (front), 40cm deep, 89cm high (backrest) and 46,5cm high in front. Other: Please regard pictures as part of the description of the item. Colour on pictures and real item could differ slightly.
Guarantee: If you purchase and do not like the chair (due to any unintentional misrepresentation on my side) when collecting it, the sale will be cancelled and the amount paid as purchase price will be refunded as soon as possible (this EXCLUDES travelling and/or any other costs of whatever nature). This refund guarantee is valid for a period of up to 72 hours after the sale/auction has ended on BidorBuy.
COLLECTIONS only (by appointment) in Randburg. Payment must please be done within 4 days of purchase. Cash deposits: remember to add the R16-50 cash deposit fees required by Bidorbuy!!!!
