Antique 'Japanese Silver & Satsuma' Butterfly Belt Buckle (Signed)
This fabulous, antique, Japanese silver and Satsuma porcelain belt buckle, in the form of a two-part butterfly, is beautifully hand painted and decorated with a court scene, featuring Geisha ladies and flowers. It's in great condition, from the Meiji Period (1868 - 1928), with the distinctive cream glaze and fine crackles associated with Satsuma porcelain and has an impressed signature on the back. The buckle measures 6,7cm x 4,3cm and weighs 33g.
