Antique Kodak Special Autographic Camera No.3
The camera was a luxurious item, with fine leather and high quality lens and shutter. Very rare and beautiful piece. All mechanisms seem to be in working order, not film tested. The back 'door' of the camera has trouble opening, can be opened with a flat screwdriver (done with care of course, this piece is over a 100 years old!). Comes in a case.
Dimensions of Camera: 20.5x11.5x5cm
The Antique Kodak Special Autographic Camera No.3 was a popular camera produced by the Eastman Kodak Company during the early 20th century. It was part of the Kodak Special line of cameras and was introduced in 1914. The camera featured a leather-covered metal body and a high-quality lens that produced sharp and detailed images. Its most unique feature was the "Autographic" system, which allowed the user to write notes or descriptions on the negative itself using a special stylus. This feature was particularly useful for documenting information about the photographed subject or location. The Kodak Special Autographic Camera No.3 was a reliable and versatile camera that was widely used by amateur and professional photographers alike. Today, it is considered a valuable collector's item and a piece of photographic history.
