Antique Landers, Frary & Clark No. 4 Universal manual Bread Maker. I believe that this old bucket shaped tin and cast iron bread maker would have been manufactured in the early 1900s. It is marked "No. 4 Universal Bread Maker, Awarded Gold Medal St Louis Exhibition, 1904, Made by Landers, Frary & Clark, New Britain.Conn. USA". The mixer has a clamp which would have fastened it to a surface, and a fitting to do the mixing. The instructions for making the dough are embossed on the raising lid. It is 31cm (diameter) x 23cm (h). The mixer is in good condition - cranks very well. Would make a lovely display feature for your kitchen, or indeed for use.
