Antique Large Art Nouveau Mantel Clock By `Ansonia Clock Company` With Key. Not Running.

A lovely Circa 1910 Art Nouveau mantle clock by Ansonia Clock Company.  Beautifully carved in solid oak.  The face is marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE ANSONIA CLOCK CO, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".  The original clock movement is present and seems to be complete.  I believe the mechanism is probably overwound so is sold as "not running".  When the hands are turned manually, the gong does strike.  Comes with the original key.  The clock is complete with no damage and the glass intact.  At some stage, someone did fit a bracket and string to the back to hang the clock (I imagine quite easy to remove).  A lovely display piece or great restoration project for the clock enthusiast!
