Antique 'Mary Gregory' Enamelled Glass Bowl & Lid
This lovely, antique, large, possibly Victorian bottle green 'Mary Gregory' glass bowl and lid features a beautiful white enamelled outdoor scene of a gentleman lying down smoking a pipe, on the lid, and a row of colourful enamelled flowers around the top half of the base, with a decorative enamelled 'dots' pattern below. It has an unusual shape, featuring a domed green lid with a clear glass nobbled round handle, and a green round base with a clear glass frilled skirt with shell decoration, and there's a nice early 'pontil scar' under the base. From many years of use, the bowl has several small chips along the top edge, with the lid having several tiny chips along its bottom edge, otherwise this lovely piece is in great condition. The bowl with lid stands 12cm high, has a diameter of 15cm and weighs 580g.
