Antique Miller Carbo Model motorbike/ bicycle carbide lamp. This old British made motorbike/ bicycle carbide lamp dates c1900. It is manufactured from nickel plated brass, and consists of 3 components namely the reflector, water tank and carbide tank. The reflector has a red and green jewel on, and the water tank has the mounting bracket. The red jewel has an unusual feature in that it sits out from the reflector (not flush), and has a hinged flap that opens. The lamp measures 17cm (w) x 16cm (h). I have not cleaned the lamp - it has years of patina. The reflector does not have a glass and the water tank does not have a cap, but it otherwise seems complete. Great buy for the collector.
