This is a porcelain pot with silver plated lid and matching spoon. It is unclear whether this little mustard pot is of French or English origin, as the manufacturer's mark is very faint on the lid underneath the hinge. It is marked with a VI on the base. I found similar items as listed from the 1920's. This pot is probably part of a Cruet condiment set - the kind which comes in a caddy stand. The lid is slightly bent, as can be seen in the pictures.
