This art and frame is so delightful, I am a very reluctant seller! The painting has been taken out of the frame to confirm authenticity and it is signed by the artist EVS, and there is another full signature in pencil on the outer edges of the canvas as well. The wooden frame has an applied raised grapevine motif for added effect. The painting has an antique round mounting - I have seen similar mounts a couple of times in antique frames before. Notice the canvas has a wavy section where the canvas does not lie completely flat, but this does not detract. The subject of the painting of a small baby sleeping in a shell and looked upon by its mother is simply charming. The frame has a diameter of 37.5cm, the painting has a diameter of 19.5cm. A nice buy for a lucky buyer!
