This wonderful original pewter inkwell with an interesting history was acquired from a deceased estate in KZN in 2023. Very big - 23cms dia base 8 cms high. Weighs 1.4 Kg.

Hinge good vintage condition. Has dents and scratches as would be expected from a pewter item of this age. LA scratched into underbase. There are two inscriptions in black pen that are written on this item. "Inkwell used for many years in Natal Provincial Council 1910 - 1986 and possibly in Natal Colonial Parliament." "A C Harvey Williams, Clerk of the Provincial Council. 1 May 1978 to 31 July 1983." Dont hesitate to ask any questions.
