This antique portable writing desk in need of a bit or restoration, is an unique item.
The desk, when it is closed, measures 30cm x 22cm x 17cm.

The front panel flaps down to create a writing surface. This space is covered in blue velvet and this blue velvet shows some wear and tear.
The top lid, also covered in blue velvet, also flaps open and there are place holders for pens/pencil and so on. The original mini wooden ruler fits into one of these placeholders.
There are three compartments for letters/paper etc and in the front there is a compartment that can also holds pens and other statiory items.
A mini glass ink bottle is included.
Overall, the wood panels are in a good condition but some restoration is needed. The joins on left and right corners on the base in the front has become undone (currently held into place with Prestik). Underneath, on the base, there is damage to the wood and there is a hole of about 1cm x 4cm. (See photograph.) This will need to be fixed.
The hinges work well and all the panels are well aligned when closed.
