Antique PSAG Schönwald Black & Orange Porcelain Cup & Saucer Set, 1911-1927, Gold Trim, 7 Cups & 9 Saucers, No Chips or Cracks
This exquisite antique set from the PSAG Schönwald Porcelain Factory includes 7 cups and 9 saucers, beautifully crafted in black and orange porcelain with a distinctive design. The cups are adorned with a gold trim on the outside of some, while others feature a simpler design without the gold line. The saucers, however, exhibit some gold trim loss in the middle area where the cup and saucer meet. Despite this, there are no chips or cracks, and the set remains in excellent condition overall.
Dating from 1911-1927, the set bears the PSAG Schönwald mark, a symbol of the factory's long legacy of fine porcelain production. The Schönwald Porcelain Factory was established in 1879 and quickly became known for its high-quality products. After a series of ownership changes, Schönwald was acquired by the Kahla Porcelain Factory in 1927 and continued to thrive throughout the 20th century.
This set offers a unique blend of history, craftsmanship, and timeless design, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
